My research was delayed because i was unsure on what i was doing , i was struggling to find something to do about tyler the creator. After i got my idea to plan i could get on with it, because i love listening to tyler the creator , i enjoyed doing the research , meaning that this would benefit the whole project. I throughly looked into tyler the creator.
I broke the research into channels , this is a snippet of the first one :
1. My first source of research is watching YouTube videos. Tyler the creator is seen as a very alternative and bizarre person.

In this video you can see he is portraying some sort of story, however the story is never finalized and that is shown in most of his videos. The idea of him building up some story but never finishing it. It’s a messy concept from Tyler the creator but I have to follow it to make it seem as if Tyler designed it himself. There is never a real structured plot in his videos but you know that he is trying to portray some sort of image to the viewers.
Now the way I know this is by this interview he did about the album its self.
What I don’t like about the video is that it has a lot going on at once which makes it hard for the viewers to understand what the story is, I want mine to be a slow and peaceful.
. From this video I took some inspiration the effects he used, like tripling himself in one shot, I think this is a great opportunity for me to use in the promotional video.
I researched into lots of videos about tyler and how i can take his edits and put it into mine , to improve this section of reserach i need to add in way more links , i researched a lot of videos about tyler and i need to put that into my research , its a vital part of my research considering tyler is all about colours , aesthetics and visualastion. i added a photo in , which is in a music video by him , this photo had a huge impact on my project because it shows , colour and weirdness which i wanted my video to be like. I should of spoke about that photo more in deatil , so it shows how much detail i put into researching tyler.
i did this for a few videos , i broke it down and spoke about how it will benefit my project , and it did , my research in this section was really succesfull.

My next channel of research is books and online.
Finding books about Tyler the creator isn’t easy, this where I had to co-join the internet and books together, Tyler the creator has created his own brand , GOLF and he’s designed look books , despite the fact the book doesn’t have words , it gives an insight into Tyler’s mind and artistic intensions because we see what he designs. This will help me as it gives me an insight into Tyler’s thoughts on fashion, which is alternative and different styles , he simply just doesn’t care what people think, which is huge part of my project because I want my promotional video to be different but still show that its promoting flower boy.
I also hired books out of the library. The book helped me understand alternate ways of portraying an image, and how anything can be turned into art as long as you make your vision clear to the audience. This is what I need to do when I’m in production. Understanding my target audience is important because Tyler the creator has his own circle of people, I need to make this promotional video for the viewers to get excited. Reading look books like this help me understand the world from an alternate perspective. What I don’t think will help looking at a book like this is that it’s not related to Tyler the creator in anyway. It just brushes over the world of alternative art.
i believe that my research on books and online web sites that tyler owns such as GOLF was a very broad topic , it helped me understand what post modernism art is and how tyler portrays his art meaning that i could inflict this onto my project however this took some time and again bvery broad , to benefit from this i would try and make it a wider topic such as all of online about tyler the creatror however i cannot take away the fact that it did benefit my project in some way.
my research in a whole went really well , i only evaluated a few snippets of it however in general it really helped , it helped me understand how to make a video on tyler and how i can enforce that into my project , however to learn from this i need to add in more photos to show what i was looking at. But in a whole if it wasnt for my research my project would be no where as good as it is mainly because i learnt so much on the theme of tyler the creator
EVALUATION OF PRODUCTION
on a whole my production went well , a vast majority of that project was my footage , meaning that it seemed more like i made this project which on a whole is a good feeling.
my production side of the the project was good. however i needed a way more structured story board , my story board was way too brief meaning that if i was to lose track of what i was doing i would find it very hard to get back , luckily i didnt however i am very lucky to remeber to it , but that isnt an excuse.
My production went well , i made sets such as this one set where i surrounded myself with fake money . This meant it felt like i had actually made a promotional video.
to improve my production i would of planned it out more , it looked good the work i made , but fail to prepare you could prepare to fail.
My post production was my best part of the whole of the project , i learnt so much from videos on how to edit that it turned out relatively well. I got so into it that i just loved learning new things about new effects, however once again i need to make sure i plan what i want to do , despite it looking reallyb good you need to make sure you had a plan.
luckily , i didnt have any issues or delays throughout my project , it went smoothly and the way i wanted it to.
I tried to make my music video just like tyler the creators , and the way I can show you is by linking certain clips from tyler the creators music video to mine :
As you can see I have tried to start the video just like tyler has done has , he started the video and then the opening credits began , just like mine did. in fact I even used the same colour tyler did to make it more realistic and flower boy themed , Like its an actual tyler the creator music video. this is why I think my video in a whole went well.
as you can see this isn't identical however , you can see where I have got the idea from , despite both of these clips being in my video , I got inspiration from the first photo. once again you can clearly see I wanted my video to be like a tyler the creator video.
